Closets? Closets!

OK, yes, it officially took me 35 days to finish step 7 of Out with the Old, in with the New, and, yes, I kind of cheated, because I am giving up on my storage cupboard, which holds another large pile of stuff that I can't bear to give away.  But it's still a win, because I didn't add anything to the storage cupboard and I've got a 30 gallon bag filled with clothing to donate, a few things to try at the consignment store, and my closet went from this to this:
Yay for me!

Now it's on to rethinking my retirement plan (and creating a five year sketch by the end of the month).

  1. Good job on decluttering. What's the retirement plan going to look like?

  2. Right now it looks a lot like the Margarita plan in Roths. I'm looking to get my documents together to have a go with my parents' financial adviser to see if anything else beckons.

  3. Congrats on the decluttering! I'll be doing my decluttering this weekend, at least in our basement. Ugh.

Can't wait to hear how the retirement plans work out!

  4. I have a huge "craigslist pile" in my attic and cellar. It's mostly kid stuff but I also have some clothes that shrunk in the wash (thanks to my husband using the hot setting and also me being fatter).

Good luck. To me it always feels great when I purge. I never understand those people who can't let go of stuff they don't use.
